One aspect of our bike trips that I really like are the little guesthouses we get to stay in. They have a small number of rooms, say 15 or less and they provide breakfast in a room made just for that purpose. Sometimes you can get a half-board meal plan that gives you breakfast and dinner if they hae a full restraunt. The little inns are usually family run and very friendly and helpfull. The Gastehaus Zihmerhof is storing our bike boxes, during our trip, and we return at the end off our trip and repack for the flight home.
It is also fun to find little restraunts along the way like Pizzeria Calcetto just a short walk away from the guesthouse. This Pizzeria Calcetto has more than just Pizza. Their minestrone soup was the best I have ever had. Pizza and Beer what could be better for the start of a cycle trip?
