Badlands National Park in South Dakota may not be very hospitable to humans but it is not a bad land for photographers at all.

The sculpted landscape in colors of grey to purple and gold is a special opportunity. The shapes and forms of the soft eroded hills provide an endless array of subjects.

Historically the humans that came to the land bad found it difficult to live or even traverse but modern photographers can be thankful that the place was set aside for protection.
